Golden Spike Elementary

Last night Mrs. Jenkins was recognized at board meeting! Mrs. Jenkins is retiring and will be sincerely missed at Golden Spike. She does so much for our school and the students here. She is dedicated to helping students reach their goals and her care for them does not go unnoticed. She is currently teaching our 4th and 5th grade DLI split on the english side and has made it a great success for everyone. Congratulations on a successful career, Mrs. Jenkins!

Happy School Lunch Hero Day! These ladies are the favorites of all our students because it is the time they look forward to most! They make sure our kids are happy and fed and we love them for it!

Thank you for a great fun run! We appreciate all the hard work of our PTO and volunteers that made it possible and the parents and family members that donated. Go GSE!

We love our fantastic art teacher, Mrs. Anderson! She brings a lot of additional value to our school and our kids love their time with her each week. Check out some of the art displayed around the building by our students.

BEAT THE TEACH! These awesome staff members purchased prizes to encourage more students reading more! And these kids have been reading like crazy to win! We held our assembly today to give out the prizes. KEEP READING...that's the best reward!

"Bright Writing" in kindergarten for the eclipse! How fun is this!

These teachers were recognized for outstanding academic achievement! They are hard working teachers and we wanted to celebrate them with their students who they give their all to! They were awarded with a certificate of achievement and BESD swag to rep their school and profession with pride! We are so proud of them and the students that they serve so give these amazing teachers a shout-out for everything they do! Our fourth graders had some friendly classroom competitions against the other classes... The classes that got the most students to meet their Lexia and Reflex goals won!! The amazing teacher are all good sports and the kids loved it

Fourth Grade had a fun friendly competition!! The class with the most kids that met their Lexia goals for two weeks got to put a pie in the other teacher's face!!! The kids loved it... Both classes were very close at getting 100% goals met, the kids did awesome!!

4th grade learning from Box Elder Highs Science Students about energy transfer and wave patterns!! So much fun!!

This month our 4th grade LEAP students have been learning about women in STEM. They picked a person to research and then created and presented information about those women. Students focused on the age of these women, what they are known for, how they impacted STEM, and answered the question, “What can we learn from this person?”
